Simon Fletcher has been designing gardens since 1974. In 1980 he won first prize in the UK for best garden and has created gardens in England and Europe

Here is the Gazebo in Aragon, Spain looking north to the Pyrenees . I was lucky enough to obtain a fine old olive tree to set off this design in brick and local limestone. There are some more photos of this project in the picture gallery at the top of this page.

Below is a design for a client in Nyon, Lake Geneva. Paving, planters and an outside dining room all against a backdrop of lovely mature trees. The planter is mainly culinary herbs. More photos in Picture Gallery.

I was asked to design a garden for a conference center within the grounds of a chateau in southern France. The first photo below shows the neglected walled garden before I began work

A 50 acre garden in Hampshire UK. The client wanted a lake over four acres. This took several years and was done using Fowler steam engines - the drag line scoop follows the contours of the land to give a natural effect. The bridge and boat house were constructed after my designs using laminated portal frames.
